Iranian arrested at Thai airport with ‘ice’ valued at Bt20 million

BANGKOK, April 11 – Thai police on Monday arrested an Iranian man at Suvarnabhumi Airport for smuggling 6.8 kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamine, also known as ‘ice,’ worth Bt20 million (US$660,000).

The arrest of Mehdi Nikzad, 27, was a joint operation between Thailand’ s Narcotics Suppression Bureau, the Immigration Police and Special Branch Police.
