Full Moon parties of Thailand are a money spinner

Since 1985, the Full Moon parties of Thailand are drawing tourists by the thousands. These parties are held on full moon nights and everything goes – from drugs, to drinks, to uninhibited sex and is meant for youngsters to let themselves loose and enjoy.

Touted by travel agents as a paradise for teenagers, there are no rules, no chaperons, no authorities, and no police in this event on the beaches of Haad Rin on the island of Koh Phangan. It attracts up to 30,000 plus revelers during peak seasons and 10 to 20,000 in normal times every month.
