Democrats concerned over March 12 Red Shirt rally in Bangkok

BANGKOK, 8 March 2011 (NNT) – The Democrat Party has expressed concern over the upcoming demonstration of the United Front of Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) on 12 March, which will be held only days before the censure debate.

Spokesperson of the ruling Democrat Party Buranaj Smutharaks disclosed that the party had convened to assess the situation ahead of the UDD gathering on 12 March. The party members were reportedly worried that the rally would intensify the political rift, especially during the next censure debate against the Government from 15-17 March, only a few days after the protest.
