Police Seizes 1 Million Speed Pills in North Thailand

The Chiang Rai Provincial Police have charged two men with possession of one million methamphetamine pills.

Twenty nine year old Dumnuen Parnpimpuem and Suwit Khumsak have been arrested by Chiang Rai’s Mae Chan Police, for possession of one million methamphetamine pills.

The two were nabbed at Tha Klao Pluak checkpoint on a local road in Mae Chan district.

Suwit was driving a pick-up truck with a Bangkok license plate when police at the checkpoint searched his vehicle, but found no drugs.

Shortly after, Dumnuen’s car ran through the checkpoint and was pursued by police.

Police later found the car had collided with a kilometer marker on the side of the road, then fell into the ditch.
