Red-shirts gather at Defence Ministry

Red-shirts of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) began to gather in front of the Defence Ministry shortly before noon on Tuesday.

Their intention was to ask the military to clarify rumours of a pending a coup and demand action against Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva for allegedly dodging the draft. They earlier announced they would rally from noon to late afternoon.

A truck with with sound equipment and a platform for speakers was parked in front of the Defence Ministry.
