Court sentences national sharpshooter Jakkrit’s wife and lawyer to death

The Minburi Provincial Court today sentenced “Mor Nim” or Dr Nithiwadee Phoocharoenyos, the wife of former national marksman Jakkrit “X” Panichpatikum, and a lawyer who hired the gunman, for the murder of the national athlete on October 19, 2013.

Mor Nim’s mother, Mrs Surang Duangjinda, who earlier confessed she alone collaborated with the lawyer to hire the gunman to kill her son-in-law, was acquitted of the charges by the court.

The hearing of the verdicts of the murder case in 2013 saw all four suspects appeared at the court, except the gunman, Jirasak Klinklai, who is in prison. The four were earlier freed on bails.
