Regan Kelly, a 28-year-old British tourist from south London, was found dead off Patong Beach in Phuket, Thailand, on January 3, 2025.

Regan was last seen on January 2, 2025 at the bar of the hostel where he was staying. CCTV footage shows him engaging in a heated conversation with an unidentified man, described as also a tourist. Shortly after, Regan abruptly left the bar, heading towards Patong Beach, with the man following him moments later.

On January 3, at approximately 10 a.m., a watersports instructor discovered Regan’s naked body floating in the sea off Patong Beach. Thai authorities determined the cause of death to be drowning.

Regan’s sister, Laurie, and their father traveled to Thailand to seek answers regarding the circumstances leading to his death. They are particularly interested in identifying and speaking with the man seen with Regan in the CCTV footage, as he may provide crucial information about Regan’s final moments. The family has also initiated a JustGiving page to fund the repatriation of Regan’s body to the UK for a second post-mortem examination, aiming to gain further clarity on the cause of death.

While Thai authorities have ruled the death as drowning, the investigation remains open. The family urges anyone with information, especially the unidentified man from the CCTV footage, to come forward to assist in understanding the events that led to this tragic incident.
