The Thai Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) has recalled 15 types of children’s syrup from drug store shelves after finding them to contain inappropriate levels of ethylene glycol.

According to TFDA Secretary-General Dr. Narong Aphikulvanich, the Medical Sciences Department tested samples of the 15 types of syrup and found that the ethylene glycol content exceeded permitted levels level.
