A Nigerian man was taken into custody on Pha Ngan Island for overstaying his visa by 276 days following allegations of intimidation to obtain free accommodation and meals.

Two Nigerian Men Arrested in Phuket for Allegedly Selling Cocaine

The Pha Ngan Tourist Police reported to The Phuket Express that on Friday, May 31st, they apprehended a suspect identified only as Mr. Benjamin, a 35-year-old Nigerian, at a hotel room located in the Thong Sala sub-district. Displaying suspicious behavior upon the officers’ arrival, Mr. Benjamin was found to have significantly overstayed in Thailand when his passport was inspected.
