The Thai Foreign Ministry has charged its embassy in Israel with examining a photo depicting an Israeli soldier holding the Thai national flag, due to concerns about the “potential consequences” of the matter.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry noted that it could not verify whether the photo is genuine, or had been doctored for propaganda purposes.
