In an unusual occurrence early Tuesday morning, a distressed Finnish tourist inflicted severe cuts on himself with a knife, prompting authorities to intervene and transfer him to a hospital for treatment.

Pattaya police and emergency teams responded to a call from an apartment complex on Soi Bua Khao in Nong Prue of Bang Lamung district around 3:36 a.m. following reports of a foreign national engaging in self-harm. Residents in the vicinity were alarmed by the disturbance caused by the man.
Upon reaching the scene, the agitated Finnish man, remained barricaded inside his third-floor room, generating loud disturbances. With assistance from a security guard, police managed to gain entry and subdue him after a struggle.

Inside the room, authorities discovered a scene of chaos, with blood on the floor and the man sustaining knife wounds on his face and right shoulder. He was provided with initial medical treatment before being transferred to a hospital for further care.
The causes of his erratic behavior remained undisclosed. The man seemed disoriented and gave contradictory statements. Presently, he is receiving medical attention at Bang Lamung Hospital.
Thankfully, the incident resulted in no harm to other individuals, and the only significant damage occurred within the confines of the room.
