The incident occurred at a condominium in Karon, Phuket, involving the tourist and three ladyboys. Allegedly, the tourist had arranged to meet the transgenders in Patong Beach and agreed to compensate them each with 4,000 baht for services rendered. Upon their arrival at the apartment, he paid one ladyboy 2,000 baht and asked the other two to leave, leading to a confrontation. The situation escalated into a physical altercation over the ladyboys’ belongings, resulting in objects being thrown around the room.

According to statements from the transgenders, they claimed that the tourist initiated a physical assault against them, prompting one of them to defend themselves with a knife. In the fight, the tourist was stabbed, while one of the transsexuals sustained a head injury and a laceration on the arm. The injured ladyboy was taken to Chalong Hospital for treatment, while the other two were brought to Karon Police Station for interrogation.

Initially, Karon Police charged a 19-year-old ladyboy named Barbie, who allegedly stabbed the British tourist, with assault causing physical or mental harm to others.

All parties involved in the brawl have appealed to the police for justice, citing that they were also subjected to aggression, which is corroborated by their injuries and relevant medical records.
