Govt reorganizes overloaded trucks and passenger vans

BANGKOK, 13th November 2016 (NNT) – The government is closely regulating overloaded trucks and passenger van services to prevent damage to roads, reduce traffic problems and accidents.

Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) spokesman Sansern Kaewkamnerd has disclosed that Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha has instructed the Ministry of Transport to work with provincial agencies and local police and military officers to regulate the weight of trucks across the nation in the wake of reports of road damage caused by overloaded vehicles which then means that a large budget is required from the government for road repairs each year.
