Health Ministry says pregnant Zika patients will be allowed to terminate

BANGKOK, 6 October 2016 (NNT) – The Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Public Health has confirmed that there is no cause for panic over the Zika Virus and that pregnant women who are diagnosed with the illness will be allowed to terminate their pregnancies.

Permanent Secretary for Health Dr. Sophon Mekthon, remarking on the Zika situation in the nation, acknowledged that specifically among pregnant women, there are 39 cases of infection with 16 exhibiting symptoms.
