Ayutthaya shipyard closed for 30 days after deadly blast

AYUTTHAYA: Authorities have ordered the closure of a shipyard in Bang Sai district for 30 days following a deadly explosion that killed four men working on a large transport vessel.

The provincial industry office ordered the closure of Chartchai Cholathanrungsawat Shipyard Co pending an investigation into the cause of the explosion, Ayutthaya deputy governor Rewat Prasong said on Saturday. The order took effect from Friday.
