Phuket flight aborted after co-pilot has heart attack in cockpit, dies

PHUKET: A South Korean co-pilot has died after suffering a heart attack in the cockpit while preparing for takeoff at Phuket International Airport early this morning (Apr 15).

The 40-year-old co-pilot was conducting his preflight check on Eastar Jet Flight ZE532 when he started suffering breathing difficulty and fell unconscious, said Lt Suporn Muangkhai of the Thalang Police.
