There were 104 road accidents involving public transport buses or field study vehicles last year resulting in 49 deaths at the scene and injuries to 675 people last year
The most cited causes of such accidents were speeding, driver exhaustion caused by long hours at the wheel, driver dozing off, driver’s unfamiliarity with the route as well as the vehicle’s poor condition.
