Traffic from Ploenchit to Henri Dunant junctions closed until Tuesday after explosions

BANGKOK, 17 August 2015 (NNT) – Deputy Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police Pol.Lt.Gen. Prawut Thawornsiri has confirmed 16 people were killed by the bombing at Ratchaprasong intersection on Monday. 12 of them were pronounced dead at the scene and the rest at the hospitals. Two of the casualties were Chinese.

Officers have been gathering evidence to identify the explosion.
