SAMUT PRAKAN – A taxi driver who punched a traffic police officer after being issued with a parking ticket was arrested shortly after fleeing the scene, police said on Thursday.

Soldiers and police intercepted the pink taxi driven by Chaichart Luekrathok on the Bang Na-Trat highway after the 60-year-old driver fled after fighting with officer Sorawal Burandet.
