Health Office launches Songkran road safety campaign

WITH 38 Thais dying every day in road accidents, the world’s third-highest rate, the National Health Commission Office (NHCO) earlier this week launched a campaign for a public policy on road safety. It aims to reduce fatalities from road accidents, especially during the upcoming Songkran

Meanwhile, Highway Police chief Maj-General Somchai Kaosamran said 2,300 highway police officers would be deployed to handle traffic congestion and facilitate travel in the holiday season.
