Flights affected by smog in Mae Hong Son

BANGKOK, 17 March 2015 (NNT) – Smog in the northern province of Mae Hong Son has caused disruptions to air travel for five days. Air pollution there is still considered as harmful to health.

Mae Hong Son Governor Suraphon Phanat-amphon said the current PM10 level in the province was 280 micrograms/cubic meter, decreasing from yesterday by 23 micrograms/cubic meter. However, the current PM10 still exceeded safe levels and posed threats to people’s health.
