Chiang Mai: Five VIetnamese arrested for shoplIftIng

FIVE VIETNAMESE nationals were arrested in Chiang Mai’s Muang district for shoplifting brand-name clothes and bags worth hundreds of thousand of bath by stuffing the stolen items into their foil-lining bags to avoid setting the barcode theft-preventing alarm off, police announced Monday.

The three females and two males aged 24-39 were presented along with the 64 stolen items and two foil-lining bags. The suspects reportedly confessed to the crime in three occasions at two shopping malls, said provincial police Pol Maj Gen Montri Sambunnanont.
