Thai leaders send condolence letters to Australia over Sydney cafe crisis

BANGKOK, 17 December 2014 (NNT) – Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha has sent an official letter of condolence to his Australian counterpart Tony Abbott after a hostage siege at Lindt Cafe in Martin Place on 15 December 2014.

The message read: “On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of Thailand, I would like to convey to Your Excellency and, through you, to the bereaved families of the victims my deepest sympathy and condolences. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the families of all the victims at this difficult time.”
