Sisaket: Six Siamese rosewood smugglers nabbed

SI SA KET, Sept 20 – Police on Saturday arrested five Cambodians and a Thai in two separate raids in the northeastern province of Si Sa Ket along the border with Cambodia and charged them of illegally possessing endangered Siamese rosewood.

Combined police, army personnel and Royal Forest Department officials arrested five young Cambodian men in a village of Si Sa Ket’s Kantharalak district and charged them of illegally cutting down the Samwise rosewood (or Payung) trees in Thailand.
