Total Access Communication PLC (dtac) is gearing up and confident to participate in the upcoming 1800 MHz spectrum auction this August, following the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC)’s resolution on the 1800 MHz final draft auction rule notification which did not include a spectrum cap that already existed and will be expired and combined with the spectrum that will be put on auction.
With two sets of 1800 MHz spectrum available, dtac agrees with the principal that each bidder can only bid for one set of 1800MHz spectrum. dtac is confident that there will be healthy competition among the three main bidders to be a first mover of 4G LTE service on 1800 MHz.
For this auction, dtac TriNet Co., Ltd. (DTN), a subsidiary of Total Access Communication PLC. (dtac) which was granted a spectrum license for providing cellular mobile phone service on 2100MHz. band, will be the company that participate in this auction. The company has completed all the requirements to become a 3G on 2100MHz. bidder. Thus, dtac is confident it’s qualified for this auction.
