Thailand’s inflation in April hits 12-month high
BANGKOK, 1 May 2014 (NNT) – The Ministry of Commerce revealed that Thailand’s inflation rate spiked in April due to rising costs of food and energy.
The ministry said the country’s consumer price index (CPI) rose by 2.45 percent in April 2014 compared to the same month of last year and had reached a new high in 12 months. Core CPI, which excludes volatile energy and food prices, rose by 1.66 percent from a year earlier.
