Pheu Thai spokesperson files treason charges against protest leader Suthep

BANGKOK,8 April 2014 (NNT) — Today at the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, at the Center for the Administration of Peace and Order (CAPO), the Pheu Thai party spokesperson Prompong Nopparit submitted a letter (citing speeches by the former Democrat Party MP and anti-government protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban ) to the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) seeking the filing of treason charges against the Anti-government protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban.

Prompong stated that according to Suthep’s speech on the 5th of April, 2014, “the day the court decided Caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra will be out of power, Suthep himself will bring the people to seize the country’s power and established sovereign party/state, and appoint the party’s own prime minister and cabinet before submitting it to His Majesty the King for approval”.
