39 killed, 402 injured in road accidents on first of ‘seven dangerous’ Songkran holidays

The first day of seven-day period for road accident monitoring saw 379 accidents happen and 39 people killed and 402 others injured, the Road Safety Directing Centre announced Saturday.

The seven-day monitoring period started Friday when people started returning homes or visiting provinces to celebrate the long Songkran holidays.
