Thais flock to Hua Hin for King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s birthday celebration

PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN, Dec 4 – People from all over the country are gradually arriving at this province southwest of Bangkok today ahead of King Bhumibol Adulyadej granting a grand public audience on his 86th birthday tomorrow at Klai Kangwon Palace in the seaside resort town of Hua Hin.

Well wishers began occupying what they believed to be the best location to get a glimpse of the monarch during the rare public audience. Most hotels and resorts have been fully booked for the special occasion.
