Chiang Rai-Khon Kaen bus plunges off Phetchabun bridge: 32 dead

PHETCHABUN, Dec 27 – A Chiang Rai-Khon Kaen interprovincial air-conditioned bus plunged from a bridge in Phetchabun late last night killing at least 32 passengers, with four persons seriously injured.

The bus reportedly fell 50 metres from the Huai Tong bridge on Lom Sak-Chum Phae in Lom Sak district of Phetchabun.

Thirty passengers were initially found dead and four with injuries, but two more bodies were recovered later.
