Tropical Storm Podul to bring heavy rain to Thailand on 15 -17 November

At 07.00 a.m. on 15 November, tropical storm “PODUL” in the lower South China Sea which downgrade to the tropical depression and was attacked the south of Vietnam. At 10.00 a.m. today this storm was centered about 280 kilometers northeast of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam or at latitude 13.0 degree north and longitude 108.0 degree east with maximum sustained winds about 55 km/hr. The storm was moving west at speed 20 km/hr.

It is forecast to downgrade to low pressure cell and will moving pass Cambodia and cover the East, the upper Gulf and the upper South of Thailand during 15-17 November. More rain are expected in the lower Northeast, the East, the lower Central and the South, and isolated heavy rain in the during 16 -17 November expected in Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat, Ratchaburi, Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan and Chumphon. The stronger wind wave 2-3 meters high is likely in the upper Gulf of Thailand. Small ships keep ashore during the period.

The advisory will be effect on 15 November 2013 at 11.00 a.m.
