Temperatures to drop further in Northern Thailand

Temperatures to drop further in the North BANGKOK, 18 November 2013 (NNT) – Temperatures are set to drop even further in the upper parts of Thailand as heavy rains are forecasted for the South during the next three days.

The Meteorological Department reported that a high pressure cell from China is covering the northern, northeastern and eastern parts of the kingdom, lowering the average temperature in the region by 1-2 degrees Celsius.

The northeasterly winds prevailing over the Gulf of Thailand and the South will bring heavy rains to the upper southern provinces during November 19-22.

Strong winds will generate up to 3 meter high waves and all shipping should proceed with caution.
