One dead, five in coma after bus with Russian tourists overturns in Kanchanaburi

Five people who sustained injuries when a bus carrying 42 Russian tourists overturned in Kanchanaburi Province in northwestern Thailand are currently in a coma, a spokesman for the Consulate Department of the Russian Embassy in Thailand said.

“Six people are in critical condition. Five of them are in a coma. The bus driver is alive,” he said. The identity of the Russian woman killed in the road accident is being established, he said.

“A female tourist died in the accident. She is being identified,” the spokesman said. The cause of the road accident is yet to be established, he added.
