Two dead as pickup ambushed by insurgents in Narathiwat

NARATHIWAT, Dec 18 – Local transport pickup carrying government workers including teachers was ambushed by presumed insurgents in Narathiwat’s Cho-airong district on Monday evening, killing two people while five were wounded.

According to initial investigation, police said the truck, contracted to transport the government workers from home to their workplaces, between the Narathiwat provincial seat, Su-ngai Padi and Su-ngai Kolok was attacked by a unknown number assailants.
