No deadly bird flu virus from Vietnam found in Thailand

BANGKOK, Sept 8 – No deadly bird flu virus appearing in Vietnam were found in Thailand, as the country was on high alert to prevent bird flu outbreak, according to a Ministry of Public Health senior official.

The Disease Control Department Director General Pornthep Siriwanarangsan said Thailand has applied continuously strict measures to monitor bird flu since 2008 and no poultry was found dead from the bird flu and no bird flu patient detected since 2006.
