HM the King’s visit to Ratchaburi postponed

BANGKOK, 13 July 2012 (NNT) – His Majesty the King’s scheduled visit to Ratchaburi province has been indefinitely postponed due to a sudden onset of cerebral hemorrhage.

According to a statement released today by the Royal Household Bureau, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej yesterday evening experienced muscle spasms and an elevated heart rate. X-ray results show a slight subdural bleeding in the left frontal lobe. Medication have been administered intravenously to treat the hemorrhage.

The Committee of Royal Physicians recommended that His Majesty’s royal activities be postponed for the time being.

His Majesty was scheduled to visit the Khao Cha-ngum soil-rehabilitation project in Ratchaburi’s Photharam district and the Nong Pho Dairy Cooperative on July 15.
