Yingluck calls for nationwide unity, reconciliation on Thai New Year

BANGKOK, April 14 – Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra wished everyone a fresh start free of troubles while urging forgiveness and unity in the country for Thai New Year in her televised address on Saturday.

Travelling to her hometown of Chiang Mai for the Songkran holiday, the prime minister remarked that the Thai New Year festival is a jovial time when people travel home to spend time with their families.
