PM Yingluck Shinawatra chairs mobile cabinet meeting in Phuket

PHUKET, 19 March 2012 (NNT) – Thai Prime Minister is chairing the first southern mobile cabinet meeting, which is officially held in the province of Phuket during March 19-20.

Prior to her flight to Phuket, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra affirmed that she was not worried about the mass of people protesting against the government’s southern trip. She expressed her determination to work hard as well as hear out the thought from both the local public and private sectors. As the country’s premier and the government’s leader, the PM intends to personally visit all regions of Thailand to welcome the public’s opinion without any discrimination.

In the evening, the PM will allow representatives from 30 communities in the Phuket Community Network to point out their problems at the Prince of Songkhla University, Phuket campus, which is the venue of today’s session. At the same time, the PM will also chair a meeting between the public and private sectors to discuss a solution to regional economic problems, which will focus on the government’s policies.
