Haze in Northern Thailand still critical with dust particles on the rise

CHIANG RAI, March 10 – The haze situation in Thailand’s north is still critical, with the number of dust particles still rising, particularly in this province, where particles were measured at over 400 microgrammes/cubic metre.

In Mae Sai district, dust particles of less than 10 micron were measured as high as 437.6 microgrammes/cubic metre on Saturday. Such levels can be dangerous, according to Pollution Control Department.
