Thai Army ranger accidentally killed by comrade

A member of the Army’s 4306th paramilitary rangers company was accidentally shot and killed Monday night by a fellow ranger who was cleaning his weapon.

Ranger Chamnan Sawangrat, based in Phatthalung, was shot in the chest when Ranger Keerati Bunkhrua accidentally discharged his AK47 rifle while cleaning it. The victim was walking past Keerati on the way to the toilet when the rifle went off.
