Bomb ambush targets Narathiwat district chief, none wounded

NARATHIWAT, Jan 26 – Presumed insurgents targeted an armoured vehicle carrying the Rangae district chief and four defence volunteers in a roadside bombing ambush on Thursday, but all escaped unharmed in the incident.

The attackers detonated a five kg explosive device in Rangae district Thursday morning as the vehicle carrying district chief Suppawarit Petchkan and four local defence volunteers on their way to a social function in a village.
