No royal pardon for Thai ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra

Thailand’s former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra who lives in emigration is not on the list of those who have been pardoned on the occasion of the king’s birthday, the Xinhua agency reports with reference to the local newspaper The Royal Gazette.

The King of Thailand, who is turning 84 on the 5th of December, signed a decree on pardoning about 20,000 prisoners on Sunday.
