Mekong Chinese sailors murder case to prosecutors

Police investigators have forwarded the case against nine Thai soldiers accused of the murder of 13 Chinese riverboat sailors in October to the Office of the Attorney General.

The investigators had determined that “parts of the incident” occurred near the border between Burma and Laos, about 25 kilometres from Thailand’s northernmost border in Chiang Rai’s Chiang Saen district, Provincial Police Region 5 commander Pol Lt Gen Suthep Detraksa said on Monday.
