Border policeman kills six colleagues in Thailand

In a tragic incident unrelated to the insurgency, a border patrol policeman opened fire on some of his colleagues on Monday night in southern Phatthalung province, killing six and seriously wounding another, before taking his own life.

The shooting occurred about 10.30pm behind the 434th Border Patrol Police Company headquarters in tambon Khuan Ma Phrao, in Muang district of Phatthalung province.
