Bangkok watches water level in west of city; overall flood situation is improving

BANGKOK, Nov 25 – Bangkok’s flood is gradually withdrawing overall, but close attention is now focused on Bang Khae and Thawi Watthana districts after municipal authorities more widely opened three sluice gates at Khlong Mahasawat for the second day.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) Wednesday opened three gates at the canal from the existing opening of 75 cm to 1 metre to more rapidly drain the flood to alleviate the hardship of Nonthaburi residents.
