US to send 26 helicopters to help search for stranded flood victims in Thailand

BANGKOK, Oct 15 – Thailand has sought cooperation from the United States to borrow helicopters to help search for stranded victims in severely flood-hit provinces, Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra announced on Saturday.

The Thai premier made remarks as the country faces the most critical flooding in decades, covering 56 provinces nationwide, with ten of them severely affected.
