Thailand – A Nong Khai procurer convicted of trafficking Laotian women and girls into prostitution was Thursday sentenced to 21 years in prison, while another from Udon Thani was sentenced to nine years.

Sentencing Nang Chomphuwong, 57, to 21 years and Therdsak Tubla, 42, to nine years’ imprisonment, the Criminal Court said the pair trafficked Laotian women and girls between 14 and 20 years old for prostitution in June last year.
