BANGKOK, 12 October 2011 (NNT) – According to Flood Relief Operations Centre, after receiving donation items from both public and private sectors today, Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra revealed about preparation plans to deal with flooding problem in Bangkok.
She ordered Bangkok Governor to closely observe and prevent flood caused by rapidly rising water flow, especially in flood risk areas along canals’ banks.
The Government Public Relations Department was also requested to warn residents who live inside and outside embankments to be well-prepared to move their belongings to higher ground. Moreover, the Prime Minister is confident that Bangkok’s inner city will not be affected by the flood.
