Thailand Ministry of Transport Proposes Change in Bangkok Electric Train Project

Thailand’s Transport Ministry has proposed a change in the construction of the Bangkok Pink Line electric train route to use heavy rail instead of monorail, which will increase the budget to 62 billion baht.

Transport Minister Air Chief Marshal Sukampon Suwannatat called a meeting of related agencies to discuss the ten planned electric train routes.

A conclusion has been drawn to alter the construction plan of the 36-kilometer Pink Line from Kaerai to Minburi and change it to a heavy rail system instead of the monorail.
