Thai Defence Minister accepts Cambodian invitation to co-chair border meeting

BANGKOK, Aug 17 – Thai Defence Minister Gen Yuthasak Sasiprapa has accepted an invitation from Cambodia to visit and co-chair the Thai-Khmer General Border Committee (GBC) in Phnom Penh, the ministry’s spokesman said on Wednesday.

Defence Ministry Spokesman Col Thanathip Sawangsaeng told a news conference after the new defence minister met with concerned agencies to brief them on the border situation and its solution before visiting the 2nd Army Area Command headquarters which supervises the Thai-Cambodian border areas Friday.
